About me

This website is currently being updated, so some information may be out of date.

Hi, I am Tianjian Guo, though most people call me TJ. I am an assistant professor of information systems at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.

I received my Ph.D. in Information Systems from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Indranil Bardhan. Before that, I earned my B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematical Decision Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

My current research interests lie at the intersection of healthcare, artificial intelligence, and information technology, with a focus on developing and evaluating AI methods that support the shift toward value-based, patient-centered care.

My ongoing work centers on two areas:

  • Developing interpretable predictive and prescriptive AI tools to improve the care delivery process and patient outcomes
  • Examining how data sharing and information integration shape patient outcomes and hospital efficiency
